Questions from Frankie

So just a while back Frankie & Ernie posed some questions to whoever wanted to grab them and answer
Sooooooo here we go!

1.   What time do you go to bed?
We go to bed every night between 10:15 - 10:30 pm. Mom likes to watch some of the news before we go to bed. Sometimes Bailey will go in to bed before everybody else, and Dad will be asleep on the couch, but Mom has a "thing" about not going to bed before 10.

2.   WHERE do you Sleep at night?

We sleep with Mom & Dad. We each have a spot we normally start out in. You can see on Mom's side of the bed there are two pillows. That works OK for her cause she is short. Bailey usually starts out on the pillow above Mom's.

Hazel shares Dad's pillow with him and she puts him to sleep by licking the top of his head BOL!  I usually go under the covers down by Mom's feet until the light goes out, then I will come out and lay down by her feet or along her side. If I get cold I will get under the covers again. If Bailey moves down to the end of the bed during the night then I like to get on the pillow above Mom's head. I tend to steer clear of Bailey, sometimes he gets grumpy if I invade his space.
When mom realized that Hazel was moving down during the night and sleeping on the top of the ramp she put a dog bed there for her.

3.   What time do you get UP in the morning?
Mon thru Fri we get up by 6:00 am cause Mom and Dad have go to work. On the weekends we sleep in to maybe 6:15 am unless we are super tired then we might sleep till 6:30 - 7:00 am, but that doesn't happen very often. I eat breakfast first thing (even before I go out to potty) and I don't want to mess up my schedule.

4.  What is your FAVORITE TOY?
Bailey loves his old purple man, Hazel likes small stuffies to play a game of tug.

Me, Greta, my absolute favorite toy is a small ball, whether it be rubber or a tennis ball. I don't get to play with one very often because I get totally obsessed and crazy.

5.  What is your FAVORITE SNACK?
Being pugs we like to eat just about anything. You can tell when Bailey thinks it is "premium snack" cause he will get kinda onery, he wants it all for himself BOL! But the one special snack that really gets us excited is ICE CREAM or Cake. Especially Hazel, she loves, loves, loves her some ice cream.
You can see Hazel's lazer focus on the cake

MMMM loooks soooo goood!

Come to me piece of cake

SCooooore!!!!

6   Are you scared of VACULA?
No - as you can see here, vacula does not scare me.

Sometimes we bark at it when it first starts up.
I do however hate the hose thingy and I get right in its face and bark, bark, bark.

7.  Do you like to be Brushed or Combed?
Not really, Mom has to chase us down. We have short hair, but we do shed a lot. Me not as much as Bailey & Hazel, butt there is dog hair on everything!

8.  How do you feel about SQUIRRELS?
'nough said!

9.  WHY do you BLOG?
A few years ago we started reading ONE blog- The Daily Puglet- then we discovered there were more blogs out there - blogs by dogs, cats and other pets too. who knew??? after awhile we talked mom into letting us start commenting on some of the blogs. A few asked us if we had a blog - no we did not. Then one day we looked at our "profile" and saw almost 100 "looks" at our profile. It was then we thought that maybe friends would like to hear about our pug adventures too and we started our blog and have never looked back. We have been blogging now for almost 2 years.

10.  What is the BEST thing about Blogging?
Wow - the best thing is the friendships we have made all around the world. Friends that are by your side to laugh, cry, support, give advice, come together to help one another. Being able to share our lives with others that love their pets as much as our peeps love us. It is amazing that although we may never meet in the fur, we think of you as our BEST FRIENDS, through thick and thin, good and bad, laughter and tears! We love you!

Kong Jumbler Review

We were recently asked if we would like
review a new toy by Kong

KONG has recently introduced the Jumbler,
an interactive two-in-one toy that will add extra fun to any play or fetch session!
Not only do the Jumbler's handles make shaking, picking up, and tossing easy,
but the loud squeak and tumbling tennis ball inside will entice your dog for hours.
The Jumbler comes in several colors, two sizes (M/L and L/XL) and two fun shapes.
a round ball or football

When the box arrived we were all
excited to see what was inside

The Jumbler Football!

sorry that the picture is sideways
but you can see
the tennis ball inside the plastic football.
Mom thought since I LOVE little tennis balls
that I would find this toy intriguing
It is made from a heavy soft plastic,
it has a squeaker and two grab handles

We were asked to choose a size
M/L or L/XL
dang, no small size so we chose M/L

You can see here it seems kinda big for me to pick up
Of course being a pug I am at a disadvantage
with no snout I can't get my mouth around it

I was really excited as Mom teased me with it
but this next video
pretty much sums how I feel about this toy

Once it is on the ground I just don't get it
Mom thinks I would have liked the Ball shape better
than the football  - IF I could have gotten it to roll around to chase it. Mom has tried several times to get me interested but I just walk away.

the toy itself is well made (of course - it is a KONG toy)
bigger dogs who like to chase and fetch would probably have a lot of fun with this toy. Even a dog my size might like it if they were able to get their mouth on it.  As I said that is a disadvantage of not having a snout.

We appreciate Kong giving us the opportunity to
try the Kong Jumbler,
Unfortunately it was not a hit with us

Review Disclaimer:  Idaho PugRanch received a Kong Jumbler toy from Kong in
exchange for an honest review.  We were not compensated in any other way for this post.

Green and Blue

Friday the 13th was pretty good to me
Mom & I were entered at an obedience trial
We only go to a few shows each year
and we always look forward to the
East Idaho Spring Classic in June

Last year we were entered 2 days
 in Beginner Novice Obedience
and as I said then it was a
"great learning experience".

Then last August we attended a 3 day Obedience/Rally trial
where I completed my Rally Novice title
 and got two qualifying legs
towards my Beginner Novice Obedience title
So we have been waiting many months
for the chance to finish

We only entered one day cause
they had changed the location from outside on grass
to indoors in a livestock pavilion !!!
Mom wasn't to sure about that -
was it going to smell like cow poop ???
How would all the dogs react??

Well to make a long story short
I did just fine!
(it only smelled close to the stalls)
 I qualified and completed my
Beginner Novice Obedience title

Here the nice judge lady is handing us our ribbons

I got a green qualifying ribbon
a pretty purple and teal ribbon for
completing my title

and
A Blue Ribbon

for first place!!!!!
Mom says I have to tell you there were only two dogs entered in my class
 but hey! first is first!

And the bestest prize of all was this turtle!!!!!!!

Come on Mom
Me & turtle want to play!

Don't forget the Auction going on
for Angel Mabel Lou
It ends tomorrow

And we have our
Super Pug POTP
going for Frankie

and sending lots of hugs to his peeps
we know they are worried as they wait to
hear back from the dogtors.

POTP NEEDED for FRANKIE !! UPDATE

Update copied from Madi

POTP IS WORKING KEEP IT UP

JUST REC'D FROM SARGE AND THE HANDS!!! KEEP THE PAWS UP!!!!!

FRANKIE AND HIS PEEPS WILL BE HOME AND SETTLED LATER TONIGHT...AND DOING LOTS OF SNUGGLING AND LOVING!!

The ultrasound actually looked fine.  It showed no mass in the eye at all.  So, now we might be back to thinking it is just a bad infection that is blocking the vet's view of his eye.    Frankie has strong steroid antiobotics to take until Friday when he will have a follow up.  SInce they aren't sure what is going on for a certainty, this gives it a chance to be an infection and let the med work.  If it is something else, they should be able to tell Friday that the med isn't helping.  Then they can see about something else for him.    Mom is hugely relieved at least for now.  It will be a worrisome two days for her till the Friday appointment, but she is totally grateful for your vibes!  :)
Thanks again!
Hugs,
Lori & Sarge

From SARGE

Hey Furiends, this is Sarge taking over Frankie's bloggie for a minute.

He could really use some POTP and healing vibes right away!    He had an icky looking spot on his eye last night that looked like maybe a scratch or an infection.   Well, he's at the dogtor right now and it looks like this might be a mass of some type.   He's getting an ultrasound and we'll let you know more as we find out more.    For now, any of those fabulous Blogville Vibes would be a wonderful help.

Thanks furiends!
Grr and a Worried Woof,
Sarge, Pol Comm

Our pug paws are crossed and
We are sending Frankie and Mom lots
of love and prayers
