A Letter to My Kids

Today is the day for our peeps to write a letter to Us!
Take it way Mom!

My Dear Bailey Man

When you walked In the door almost 12 years ago, you entered like you owned the place. A pug puppy with 3 older pugs in the house. Now you are the oldest pug in the family and you have earned your spot at the top of the bed.
So much about you is not the typical pug - You are too tall, too long and giving and receiving affection is always on your terms not ours. But I know how much you love us and how much we love you. I love it when you let me hug you and rub your ears and I hear the contented groans come from your throat. Or when you decide to cuddle to my side at night and once again I hear your groans of contentment as you settle in place. Watching your face as you try to stay patient with little Mabel is priceless and I can't blame you for getting a little grumpy sometimes

To Little Miss Hazel

With four pugs in the house, we had no intention of getting another until I saw your face. You were already family, born to the two pugs our daughter had rescued (Sophia was pregnant already). You were just four weeks old when I first met you - your beauty was striking and I fell in love - Dad took a little more convincing. The weekend after we brought you home I had to go out of town. You stole Dad's heart while I was away, no longer sleeping in the crate, but on the bed with Dad and the others. My favorite word for you is Joyful. Waking every morning giving love and kisses. You are our dainty little lady, and also our clown. When company is over, there you are with your bone -  teasing everyone - see my bone! you can look! but don't touch! -  your tail going 90 miles an hour. Some of your antics at the obedience trials made everyone laugh, including me.
At one trial we got a compliment I will always remember. Not about how well we performed but "I can tell you have a great relationship with your dog". That meant the world to me. Thank you for accepting Greta and now Mabel into our family so readily.
We love you Baby Girl!

Dear Angel Greta
Oh Greta, the tears are falling as I write this. You were so full of life and love, I still don't understand how you could have left us so young. Losing you has been one of the most difficult things I have had to face. You taught me so much about patience, perseverance and how to live every moment to the fullest. How can I ever thank you for the devotion and love you shared in your short time with us. It was you that inspired me to start the blog, and through the blog we have met so many wonderful friends.  I don't know what I would have done without the support of all those friends when you left us.
Thank you for loving us and guiding us to Mabel - I know you had a hand in bringing her to us.  I will love you forever and do my best to honor your memory, my Greta Pug.

Dear Mabel

I wasn't sure if my heart was ready for a new baby yet. But when I saw a picture of your momma - something in her face reminded me of our Greta. When I saw a second picture, again I saw our Greta in her eyes. It was like Greta was bringing you to us. Even then, right up until we picked you up I wasn't sure. Could I love you, would you love me?
Then we got in the car, you were on my lap, and suddenly you started smothering me with kisses. My tears flowed but they were happy tears, we loved each other from the start.
Now here we are three weeks later. You are such a good girl. Learning things quickly, bringing laughter and joy to our home. You do some things that remind me of Greta, but you are also different in many ways. That is the way it should be, you are Mabel. Most of all you have already shown us a huge capacity for love. Welcome to our hearts and home!

Love
 Mom

Chewy Review - Natures Miracle

Hey Friends!
It is Chewy Review time
and this is my very first Chewy review

You know when you are only 10 weeks old
there are a lot of firsts in your life!

Mom was tickled pink when the newsletter arrived
from Miss Sydney and one of the choices was

Natures Miracle Odor & Stain Remover

How it works:

Nature’s Miracle Stain and Odor Remover goes to work quickly to break down tough stains and odors. The bio-enzymatic formula specifically reacts to organic stain and odor matter and works to eliminate any traces—unlike other products that may simply mask stains and odors.

Key Benefits
  • Suitable for carpet, floors, or any hard surface
  • Neutralizes organic odors and removes stains
  • Quick drying
  • No rinsing necessary

Perfect for a household expecting
a new puggie in the family

I must admit that I have not made it easy
for my Mom to evaluate this product.
The peeps watch me constantly, take me outside often and I am excellent at going potty outside if I have to go.
No messing around out in the cold - I get the job done!

This is my safe area when Mom & Dad are not home

Do you see the pee pads behind me?
I always use them if I need to - not one miss yet!
OMD!
I just noticed Hazel's tail is photo bombing my picture!!!! BOL!!!!

So on to my story -
In three weeks I have had only 2 pee accidents
and they were on dog beds, don't ask me why on the beds,
 I wasn't thinking I guess.

Mom soaked the pee with Natures Miracle before washing and there was no lingering odor!
Mom was happy but torn ....
she really wanted to test it on the carpet but there was no way she was going to willingly let me pee on the carpet.

Then Hazel decided to help out!

No -  she did not pee on the carpet -
 she puked on the carpet!
YUCK! That smelly, bile kind of puke! YUCK!
Mom cleaned up as much as she could and then soaked the carpet with Natures Miracle, put a towel over it and let it sit all day. When she got home from work she went over the area with her little spot shampooer.
Later after the area was completely dry
she could not smell the puke smell at all!
Even on her hands and knees
with her nose right down to the carpet
Natures Miracle came to the rescue!!!!!!
YAY !!!!!!
We each give it four paws up !

We love Chewy.com, they have great prices, excellent customer service and with their new warehouse in Nevada we get our orders in just a few days!

Thank you Chewy for sending us a bottle of
Natures Miracle in exchange for an honest review

(excuse the noise it was real windy)

Watch Hazel get out of my way !

And I have learned to sit nicely for my treat.

Wow!

Hello Everyone!

Thank you so much for the warm welcome to Blogville!

I promise you will learn more about me next week but I will answer just a few quick questions

I officially joined the PugRanch on Sat. Jan 3rd

I am settling in very well, I love my Mom & Dad!

I have been very polite with Hazel & Bailey
Hazel has been very sweet and we even
had a great game of chase yesterday

Bailey is taking a little more time, but I am taking it slow..
soon he won't be able to resist my cuteness

Mom has been taking lots of pictures but I make it hard BOL!
She just gets set with the camera and I run right at her!

Love you all!
