Womanly Wednesday

Mom says I have become a woman now

WHAT???
I am barely one year old (this Saturday)

I am just a pup

If becoming a woman means having to wear
these stoopid diaper pants,
I will stay a puppy thank you very much!

Note from Mom:  Originally Mabel was scheduled to have her "girl" surgery at the end of June. We postponed it to concentrate on taking care of the Demodex. Surgery was rescheduled for Wednesday next week. Looks like we will be rescheduling again - Dang It!

  13. The important thing is that you eventually do get the surgery done. I still remember picking Shiver up from the vet after his surgery. The vet said that Shiver was still woozy and to make sure he took it easy the rest of the day. As soon as we stepped in the front door, Shiver was back to his wild and crazy puppy self. Those drugs didn't calm him down in the least! bol

  15. Oh dear, Mabel. You are growing up way too fast! Thank your daughter for volunteering to serve in the Air Force. We have Barksdale Air Force Base in our sister city. It is a wonderful base and they hold an Open House each spring. It's the home of the B-52s.

  17. The same thing happened to Ciara. She was scheduled for her surgery but went in to a very early heat at only five months. Not a lot of fun, but you will make it through, Mabel. Our sympathies to your Mom for the added work.

  20. Oh I am sorry but I am laughing about a memory your brought back to me. I had a friend who when she was explaining to her young daughter about becoming a women her daughter declared quite loudly "I am opting out of that crap" and stomped off. My friend said she just shook her head and said she will find out. Low and behold her adult daughter now takes a pill that stops that crap except for one cycle a year. Times they do change. Mabel hope you don't have the cramps.
    Thanks for being a friend

  23. Well, lots of people are starting to think that letting a dog go through one heat before spaying is a great idea. We did it with Shyla but we were lucky because she had a "silent" heat... no bleeding. I hope that you can keep the boys away, Mabel, and then get that surgery so you don't have to go through this again!
