It is TOO DANG COLD!

OMD!
We are already setting records for snowfall
We got 15 inches over Christmas
and another 8 inches this week
Since Nov 28 our area has received 40 inches of snow!!

And now we have extreme cold temperatures
This morning it was -13 degrees
(when mom got to her work it was -24!)
Makes it very hard for us pugs to get outside to potty

Mom and Dad went shopping and came home
with these socks with rubberized bottoms
They said they keep feet dry and help with traction

Bailey and I tried them on - Hazel refused to wear hers
she got them off in about 2 seconds!

Unfortunately these socks had NO traction on the icy snow
Bailey & I could hardly keep on our feet.
At $20 a set they went back to the store.

Hazel & I are pretty good about going out and getting the job done quickly. But Mr Bailey is struggling a bit so we have had a couple of accidents in the house. Oh Well.
One more subzero night and it should start to warm up

HURRY SPRING!

We are the PugRanch Kids
Bailey, Hazel & Mabel

  4. Winter has definitely come in hard. Here in Colorado, we've had bitter cold with 8-10" snow this week-however that sounds downright mild compared to your weather.
Thanks for the review on the socks. Stay inside and stay warm.

  6. You know we would gladly take your snow if you could ship it. We also have bitter cold. We like to be out in it all day, but at night it is nicer to stay warm and toasty inside:) We hope it warms up for you soon. Poor Mr. Bailey.

  7. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NO we read an article in today's paper about record snows in Boise. I had no idea you all had all that since November. Geez I'm so sorry for you having to deal with it and potty etc. It horrid.
We are expecting epic snow here today (FOR us) they say maybe 10" we might get 10" in a 2 year period. We'll see what really happens. Sat night and Sun night are supposed to be in the single digits.
Lots of warm kitty hugs to my huggy puggys and we sure do hope you can find some way to potty safely.

  14. We know some huskies who would love to come visit you....maybe you could organise a house swap for this cold weather.

We agree with the boot reaction. We wouldn't be able to move.

  19. It was bone chilling cold this morning here too with temp of -2F (with windchill -10F) with our 6" of fresh snow. I'm already counting down the days to spring!
P.S. If it's any consolation, your yard is so pretty with all that fresh snow! ☃️

  21. Wow - your temps are way too cold. We hope it warms up soon for you!

  22. That sure is very cold. We have fleece booties we wear when the outside temps go below about 10 deg. F. We couldn't imagine it being in the negative numbers!

  23. Yikes! I guess we should stop whining. It's not as chilly here, but now we have freezing rain coming in :(

  25. I wouldn't wear the little shoes either. We understand - when Mom was in her crash pad while commuting during the big polar vortex a couple of winters ago, I had a couple accidents in the house. She didn't scold me, she knew how hard it was to go outside.

  26. We understand here. Mom potty pad trained all the little Girls here because she was afraid of that happening with age and time and small bladders. It is working pretty good except when Abbe decides to use the edge of the pad and not the middle like Anne and Bree. Hope things warm up soon for you all and especially Mr. Bailey.

  27. I sure hope it warms up soon. We had crazy temps like yours and now it's above freezing. Crazy.

I am so sorry that your trio is having a tough time with this wild winter weather.

  28. We've had a lot of snow here too. I hate it! It would be fine if I could stay home and not go out in it, but that's not the case.

  29. OMP! That is sooo cold! We just made it through a cold spell and it's back above zero here. Bailey does not look thrilled with the boots. I bet he's happy they went back to the store! :P
    Stay warm, Pug Ranchers!

    Sid.
