It's Mom's Last Day

Wahoo!!!

It's a big day for Mom

It is her last day at work at the Potato Processing Plant were she has worked for 44 1/2 yrs

Mom was just a teenager (18 yrs. old) when she arrived in Idaho from her home state of California.
One week later she started working for Lamb Weston, a company that makes french fries and other potato products

The first 12 years Mom worked in the production plant in several different positions. General Labor, Quality Assurance, Operator and even worked in the Maintenance Dept! In 1984 she began working in the Accounting Department doing the Payroll and did that job for 22 years. The last ten years Mom has done the Cost Accounting.

A lot of life goes by in 44 years

Mom got married
Had two children, a son and a daughter
got divorced
bought a home to raise her children in
sang with a local country western band
took some college classes in accounting
adopted an older pug and fell in love with breed
Met her soul mate
 remarried gaining 5 more children
Sold her home
Mom & Dad bought some property to put a home on
and that is now The PugRanch
Lost her Dad in 1999
welcomed 25 grandchildren
was diagnosed with Breast Cancer
Started a blog called the Idaho PugRanch
lost her Step Mom in 2015
celebrated 5 yrs cancer free

And through it all she had her job at Lamb Weston

Now a new life chapter called

Retirement!!!

Congrats Mom!
