Hazel - Some Good news

Good Monday Morning!

Hazel's fourth morning with a solid poop!
She was also having a problem with
(sorry for the grossness)
a constant butt drool but that is just about resolved,
her little bum is healing and she is sleeping much better

That is the good news

The concerns still -
She is have trouble getting around,
her front legs are bothering her and her hind end is weak.
Good thing she doesn't weigh much
and we can carry her around

She is still being so so picky about eating.
Some things she used to love she now sticks her nose up at.
Refuses pumpkin, yogurt, canned dog food
She likes scrambled eggs (plain thank you very much) in the morning,
not so much for dinner.  This morning I got her to eat a different flavor of Fresh Pet by hand feeding her one piece at a time.  Boy does she have Mom wrapped around her little paw.

Thanks again for all the POTP and love and prayers
We love our friends

Hugs
Mom, Hazel & Mabel

  5. Hazel jumping with jubilation here in NC. Baby steps to getting well the sore bum was major in healing. I am a firm believer that a Senior Huggy Puggy should have whatever she wants for breakfast...eggs I say good for you. Angel Madi liked hard boiled eggs. She loved it when I made Potato Salad. She could hear me cracking the shell no matter where she was

  11. First, there is no such thing as grossness here in blogville. It IS by or about dogs and cats, after all. (and some other species as well) And Second, yay on the poop news. May Hazel's appetite return and may her legs become stronger.

  12. We have been out of touch for a few days, so we are elated to hear the good poop report. We wish we had some suggestions for food; we know all about pickyness from Phantom. Mom was trying to remember if you tried that bone broth we reviewed for Chewy a while ago. Here is the link. It is pricey but we all loved it. https://www.chewy.com/castor-pollux-pristine-grain-free/dp/178439

I don't knows if you can have chickens, butts if you can, that is always a hit! Ma says give the breast meats, butts I likes it all. Oh and that bone broth stuffs too! with some oatmeal, that is the bestest! Bone broth oatmeal! you gets the fiber to firm thingies up and the goodness of the bone broth. 18. We're glad Hazel is slowly improving. A lot of the things you are describing sound like Joey dog, Miss Ginger, and Old Charisma when they were about 13 or so years old.

  20. Glad to hear she's improving. Hopefully with all that extra attention, she'll fully recover. Whenever Sam is under the weather he'll only eat if I hand feed him too. {insert rolling eyes here}
