a special surprise I got last week

A package came for ME!!
from my girl
Gracie Lynn

She sent me a letter with her picture
so I could see her pretty face
everyday

And this special nightlight

so I can have sweet dreams of kissing
my sweet Gracie Lynn

And that's not all

Gracie sent me some fresh breath mini bones
so I will always have
 fresh
kissable breath

Thank you my beautiful Gracie

Finished Project

You might remember awhile back

The hole was for a new flagpole

Well the new flagpole is in

and Mom planted flowers around the base
and the rock with our last name

and
If you are wondering why there is a
fence around it

Well...

it's to keep me out!
cause I think the bark is fun to chew on.

and drove down the driveway

and back up the driveway

Green Ribbons

 Ok Everybody
I know we left you hanging so
here we go

Most of the pictures are from Saturday cause one
of the grandpeeps came along with us
 and ran the camera

Each morning we were in the Beginner Novice Class

First we do a short heeling pattern
following the signs

Forward, fast, slow, about turns and halt.

Then a figure 8 around two peeps
The lady in red is the judge

I also had to sit nicely and let
the judge touch my head

Next is the sit stay in the center of the ring
while Mom walks all the way around

Then Mom tells me to stay for the recall

She calls and I come running

In the afternoon we were in the
Rally Novice class

Rally is kinda like a road course,
we follow the numbered cones and
do what ever the sign tell us to do.

It's lots of fun and not as formal as obedience
Mom can talk to me and
use her hands and body language
(no touching though)
to guide me through the course

It was very hot butt
Mom kept me cool with my chilly pads

So

back to the title of this post

GREEN RIBBONS

Although it is nice to win a blue ribbon,
and they do award for 1st thru 4th place,
the green ribbons are the important ones

A green ribbon means that you earned
a qualifying score that counts toward your title
3 qualifying scores in a class earns that title

To qualify in obedience you need
at least 170 pts out of 200

To qualify in Rally you need
at least 70 pts out of 100

So without further ado
V

I qualified all three days in Rally Novice and
earned my RN title, finishing Sunday
with a score of 95 and 3rd place!

I qualified Fri and Sat in Novice Obedience
with 3rd place Fri and 4th place on Sat
Sunday I bailed on my sit stay cause
there was a stick over in the corner
I just had to check out
What can I say?

Like I told you Monday
What a Great Weekend!!!

Flashback Friday & Joke Day!

First of all Mom wants to thank everyone
for the well wishes.
She has a nasty summer cold
She is feeling better though which is good
cause we have a big weekend adventure starting today.
We will tell you all about it next week

Today we are joining
for
Flashback Friday & Joke Day

 HA HA! This is me!!
When I was just 2 months old
little did mom know that
somepuggy this cute could be so naughty

Mom and I will be gone most of the day
we will try to check in with everybody later

so we leave you with a funny!

Little Harold was practicing the violin in the living room
while his father was trying to read in the den.
The family dog was lying in the den,
as the screeching sounds of little Harold's violin reached his ears, he began to howl loudly.

The father listened to the dog and the violin as long as he could. Then he jumped up, slammed his paper to the floor
 and yelled above the noise,
"For Pete's sake,
can't you play something the dog doesn't know?!"

A Pug, A Pig and Raffles!!!

Not much going on at our house folks
cause Mom is sick so I am just
hanging out with my piggy friend

Butt...
there are some more exciting raffles going on to help

Over at
The Three Little Pugs
our good friend Stella Rose is celebrating
her Gotcha Day by filling up an
IOWA MYSTERY BOX
and raffling it off to help Benny
Read on to find all about it

Mom and I thought and thought and thought all weekend about what we need to do to help Benny, Lily and their Momma and we came up with a IOWA MYSTERY BOX.  See Saturday is my gotcha day and we decided to celebrate this by filling up this box with items ONLY found here in IOWA and mostly items from the LOCAL ARTISANS.  Did you know we live in VAN BUREN COUNTY IOWA and if you read Midwest Magazine we are often featured in it as a great place to go and relax, AND do a little shopping.  We have 7 villages with lots of local artists...so what the heck...we are asking them to donate an item to our mystery box and we will send it with us taking care of the shipping.  We are so sorry our friends that do not live in the USA cannot participate cos of the shipping cost.

Each day we will give you a peek into what item we have added to the box and some info about the artist.  Sometimes it will be a little item ...sometimes a bigger item.  Sometimes we will have a big story ...sometimes a little story.  We are raffling this box off at $10.00 and your name will go into a hat, and MOM said I Could pick the name out since it is my gotcha day present.  Folks, it will be well worth the $10.00!  So, put your starbucks money up for the week, and keep your treat monies handy and bid on this box for our friend Benny!

You can send the money to FUND ME at Benny page, or send Stella's Mom an email at simpson_long AT yahoo DOT com letting her know you will be sending her the money directly.  We are going to be picking the winner on August 23rd ....stay tuned
.
Stella gave us a peak at the first item yesterday!
that item alone is worth the $10 ticket.

and that's not all
are having a raffle too!!

PRIZE ONE.….. A MOLLIE OR ALFIE BOX..filled wiff super gift’z and treat’z….

PRIZE TWO.A KITTY NIP MAT, A CARTOONED PET ORNAMENT, OR A CARTOONED PET RING HOLDER..( ONLY ONE PROVIDED)

Be a Responsible Dog Owner

 Scoop that Poop!!

Today we are participating in
Scoop that Poop
Blog Hop
hosted by Sugar and Gizmo

We all know that sharing your life with a dog
comes with responsibilities
and one of those responsibilities
is cleaning up your dogs waste

Clean up starts at home cause we like to
have a clean yard to play in
and we don't want company that visits
to worry about what they might step in

This is what Mom & Dad call
The Poopy Bucket and Shovel

Usually twice a day Mom or Dad scoop our poop
and put in the poopy bucket

When we are away from home
it is still Mom & Dad's job to clean up after us

One Dog Makes A Difference
is where I take training classes

and this is my tote bag we take with us

It has all the stuff we take to class

One of the most important items,
besides water and collars and leashes,
is the poop bag dispenser
so Mom can clean up after me

Mom even keeps a poop bag in her purse
just for one of those emergency times

or she sticks some in her pocket
when we are out for a walk

so we can leave the area
as clean as we found it.
