#ChewyInfluencer September Review #2

Hazel & I like to have a little yumminess with our dinner
so we jumped at the chance to review

Dave's Pet Food Stewlicious Grain-Free

Fisherman Stew Canned Dog Food

Dave's Pet Food is known for delivering healthy food at a great value, and their Stewlicious Grain-Free Fisherman Stew Canned Dog Food continues this tradition. The recipe starts with scrumptious salmon and combines peas, sweet potatoes and tomatoes to create a nutritious seafood dinner cooked just for your dog. This robust stew uses a rich fish broth for a naturally delicious flavor with chunks of salmon you can see. There are no grains, which means this wholesome meal is lower in carbs with more mouthwatering meat for your pup to enjoy.

Ingredients

Salmon, Fish Broth, Dried Egg Product, Peas, Natural Flavor, Calcium Carbonate, Potato Starch, Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes, Guar Gum, Salt, Sodium Tripolyphosphate, Potassium Chloride, Choline Chloride, Tomatoes, Dried Yucca Schidigera Extract, Blueberries, Raspberries, Dried Chicory Root Extract, Iron Proteinate, Zinc Proteinate, Manganese Proteinate, Copper Proteinate, Magnesium Proteinate, Sodium Selenite, Calcium Iodate, Vitamin E Supplement, Thiamine Mononitrate, Niacin Supplement, Calcium Pantothenate, Biotin, Vitamin A Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Folic Acid.

Just look at those delicious chunks of salmon!
And it is made right here in the USA

And OMD!  The smell was heavenly!

Hazel and I both like the chunks of salmon and potatoes
 in the delicious gravy.
Mom stirs a spoonful in our breakfast and dinner.

The only downside
Mom says we have fishy kisses BOL!

#ChewyInfluencer September Review #1

It is time for our September #ChewyInfluencer review,
the new ordering procedure was easy peasy and we chose
Stella & Chewy's Carnivore Crunch Grass-Fed Beef Recipe Freeze-Dried Dog Treats

Key Benefits

  • Real, raw nutrition with the convenience of freeze-dried. Serve whole as a reward or crumbled over food at mealtimes for added flavor and nutrition.
  • Made in Stella & Chewy's own USA kitchen with grass-fed beef.
  • Never contains grains, gluten, fillers, artificial preservatives or colorings.
  • Simple, pristine recipe with limited ingredients and rich in protein.
  • Less than 3 calories per morsel.

Ingredients

Beef, Beef Liver, Beef Kidney, Beef Heart, Beef Tripe, Beef Bone, Pumpkin Seeds, Tocopherols (Preservative)

That is a quarter in the middle

The treats are a little bigger than bite size for us
but they are easy for mom to break them into smaller pieces for training use

I like these treats so much I not only did a sit for mom

I also offered her a down
with a "woof" added in!

These were also a hit with mom because unlike other brands of freeze dried treats, there were no powdery crumbs in the package, all nicely formed treats!

Freeze dried treats are great for training as we don't have to worry about them getting hard or spoiling.

We will be ordering more of these!

Pictures and Comments from the Obedience/Rally Trial

We finally have some pictures to share
from the Obedience/Rally Trial we went to in August
(sorry, the pics are a bit overexposed)

Mom always likes to make sure we are having fun
and she appreciates some of the comments she gets
 from the other competitors

A few years ago Hazel was being more of a clown
 than an obedience dog
Mom was trying not to let her frustration show
when a lady said to her
"I can tell you have a great relationship with your dog"
That made all the frustration go away

At this trial one lady complimented us

on my
"healthy weight for a pug"

Several peeps thought I was really cute

Another comment
"Oh it's the lady with the pugs!"
"I just love it when someone knows their breed"

But mom's favorite comment of the weekend

"I just love the way your dog looks at you!"

What We did This Summer

We can't believe that summer is almost over
But we can feel it in the air
the nights are cooler and soon the days will be too

Mom & Dad both retired this year
and it has been great to have them home with us
all the time

I taught Dad how to take an afternoon nap!

While Hazel & I did not go on any vacation trips
we did get some visitors to the PugRanch

Baby robins hatched in the tree by our front gate

I got to meet one of the babies up close and personal

And I like to think I helped him learn how to fly

We have had several of these funny looking dudes

This big hawk likes to hang around the farm field
that is just near our house
but this day he was on our fence!

Usually he is on top of the power pole
and screeches real loud

Hazel & I spent a lot of time hanging out

We grew a garden this year.
So far we have harvested cucumbers, zucchini
and the most deliciously sweet cherry tomatoes.
We also have carrots, banana squash
and spaghetti squash to enjoy soon
Mom has been making lots of zucchini bread - YUM!

Hazel and I had fun at an Obedience/Rally Trial in August

Hazel got to participate in the team competition

I finished my Beginner Novice Obedience Title
and did Rally too

The really fun thing I have done this summer is Agility Class
Every Monday night we go to class
and I have been learning a lot

I have some obstacles at home to practice on
A really nice lady gave us a full size teeter and our instructor let us borrow a big tunnel

Here is a video of us practicing.
I used to be scared of the teeter but having one at home to practice on has made all the difference in my confidence.

So that has been our summer
Now that the weather is cooling down
we may get to go on some day trips scouting out nice places to go camping next year.

Picky Hazel

We have mentioned in the past
that Hazel can be picky when it comes to eating her food

Mom tried all different canned foods and wet foods
to add to her kibble
Hazel might like something for a couple of days
but then back to putting her nose in the air

Well a couple of months ago
Mom finally found a food that Hazel really likes!

 Fresh Pet Select Roasted Chicken
She gets it half and half with kibble

She still has to take a minute to take in the aroma
(ha ha ha, mom is laughing cause she realized you can hear me gobbling up my food! I don't mess around!)

but no more begging her to eat!

Don't forget to share what you did this summer!

Join the blog hop tomorrow!

Hazel's Surprise

Last week Hazel got a surprise in the mail

Her beau Oreo sent her this crazy ball!

It has a hole to put treats in!

That silly smile rolled around dispensing yummies!

Hazel thought that was pretty cool!

Thank you Oreo for thinking of me!

We are thinking of everyone in the path of Irma

We are keeping you all in our pug prayers
that you may remain safe from harm
along with those dealing with the aftermath of Harvey
and all the firefighters and those affected
by the terrible wild fires out west.
