No Tricks Just Treats!

Today we are excited to participate in the
No Tricks Just Treats for Shelters Blog Hop

Be sure to visit Mayor Arty, Rosy and Jakey.
For every comment on their blog this weekend they will donate green papers to some pets in need
Join the blog hop and they will donate even more!

This spring Mom and I attended the Run With the Big Dogs fundraiser for the Pocatello Animal Shelter.

There were lots of dog and peeps and shelter dogs looking for their furever home.

Just last Saturday we went to the most fun event!

The 1st Annual Pocatello Pug O Ween
A fundraiser for Pug Pals Rescue based in Boise, ID

I wore my costume from last year - Chia Pug

I could not believe my eyes!
A room full of pugs!

There were treats for the peeps and treats for us and a costume contest. But we spent most of the time having fun and getting to know each other

Uh Oh! look out for the shark

Little Nora the spider is 6 months old.

Nora really liked me as you can see from this video

Such a cute little Bee!

This is Frank - He is a big Pug

These two seniors found a new lap to sit on
and take a break from the craziness

Pugs galore!

We had so much fun meeting new friends and what a great way to raise money to help our Idaho Pug Rescue. It is hard to imagine that there are sweet pugs that need good furever homes and so many need medical care. We were happy to donate some green papers

Oh Yes, I won this bandana
for 2nd place in the costume contest.
There was talk of more get together's to come
I can't wait!

This is a blog hop!

#ChewyInfluencer Frisco Coat Review

Today we are going to tell you all about the

Frisco Reversible Dog & Cat Plaid Puffer Coat

that Miss Natalie and Miss Kristin sent to me

Gear up your pal for winter with the Frisco Dog & Cat Puffer Coat. Built with a classic puffer coat design, it features a soft lining for added warmth during chilly days, and a collar and quilted, insulated sections for added chill protection. The exterior shell is water-resistant so it’s perfect for rain sprinkles and light snow, which means more exploring outdoors—and in style. It’s super easy to get suited up thanks to the Velcro closures around the neck and belly, so you can get dressed for the forecast pretty fast. Plus, this coat is reversible for two looks in one—plain or plaid—and comes with a built-in leash hole so you can always be ready to go.

The coat came in four colors
Of course I chose the purple

The inside is black fleece - so soft and comfy

We chose the medium size
and I think it looks very stylish

I can be hard to fit a pug sometimes
because of our thick necks and deep chests

The Medium size Frisco coat
was a tight fit around my neck

But fit great around my middle

And it was a pawfect length
to show of my curly pug tail

It will be a nice coat to keep the rain and snow
from getting my furs wet!

Thanks Chewy.com

Saturday Fun

Saturday was a very cool and blustery day
but Mom & I made it out to agility practice.
It is nice that one of our friends brings her camera
and shares some fun photos with us

Doing a 5 second stay on the table
One foot up is my tell tale sign that my feet are cold!

Coming through the tunnel at warp speed!

Mom is happy that I am gaining confidence
and beginning to work out in front of her.
Now she has to get in better shape to keep up with me BOL!

Angel Greta's 6th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Button Giveaway

Hi Friends - Angel Greta here!

In 2013 Mom & I had a special button giveaway for
 Breast Cancer Awareness Month

It was such a great success we wanted to do it again

Despite my unexpected departure for the Rainbow Bridge in 2014
we have continued our special giveaway
because I let Mom know that I am always here
- in her heart -

and we would still do this together

You see
my Mom is celebrating 7 years as a Breast Cancer Survivor

I came into Mom's life just a few months
after she completed her radiation treatments
and I was an important part of her overall recovery.

Now each October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
I always like to share
my story of .....

How I Became Mom's "Pink" Dog
by Angel Greta
Mom has NEVER liked the coloPINK
her favorite colors are green and purple
but...

you may have noticed that I
wore a lot of PINK

Seven years ago something happened

After having her yearly check up
Mom was told she needed a biopsy

Two days before the start of
Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Mom was told she had breast cancer

Then not only did she not like PINK
she HATED PINK
Trying to come to terms with the Big C diagnoses
and PINK was in her face everywhere she went.

Surgery was scheduled and followed soon after
by 6 weeks of radiation treatments

It was then that Mom began to realize
just how lucky she was

She does her wellness check ups every year
so her cancer was caught early

She has a family that loves her and needs her
and she will be here for them

for a long time to come

  Mom realized that during
 Breast Cancer Awareness Month
she can let people know that
early detection saves lives

so she decided
 to embrace the colo"PINK"

 and that, my friends

is how I became Mom's "Pink" dog.

************

Dear Furiends!
Please make sure your loved ones educate themselves about the risks of breast cancer and the importance of mammograms if they are over 40, earlier if there is a history of breast cancer in the family.
Early detection can make such a difference!
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month
we are once again having a little giveaway!

From the Café Press Shop of

we have
 Pug w/pink ribbon mini buttons
(1” diameter) to send out to our friends

They look great on a blouse, lapel,
or pinned on a hat (that’s where Mom’s human son wore his).
Maybe you want to show support for someone close to you that is battling this disease, honor a loved one
or just want to help spread awareness.
Maybe your peep is a survivor like our MOM.
We need our peeps to take care of themselves
so they can take care of us!
Those of you that received a button in the past,
we hope you are wearing it proudly!

If you would like a button
send us an email with your snail mail addy to
pugranch2 AT msn DOT com

This year we have 6 (4) buttons to give away!
(buttons will be mailed on a first come basis)

Promoting Breast Cancer Awareness
has truly become Angel Greta's legacy of love
