A very BIG Bed

Mom and Dad came home the other day 

with this

A very BIG Bed! 

It is soft and comfy - and orthopedic

and VERY BIG!

so BIG in fact -  that Mom used it

 to sit in to watch 

the World Series game Saturday night! 

She had shampooed carpets 

and did not have any furniture to sit on!

It makes a great double-decker bed too!

There is another Pug Angel tonight

of Pug Possessed

made her journey to the Bridge today

She will be dearly missed by 5 puggie siblings

and a loving family - till they meet again

So many friends have been so thoughtful

since Greta left us for the Bridge

letting us know they are thinking of us

a little package came from our dear friends

 and a pug leash for Mom's keys!

We were fortunate to have had one of our friends 

take more than 200 photos of Greta and Mom

 at the obedience trial they attended in Aug

That friend is also a graphic artist

It was signed by many of our 

training friends 

We still need to get caught up

on some awards we have gotten

Flashback Friday - Greta's First Title

 August 2013 Greta and I attended 

a 3 day obedience/rally trial

We were quite ambitious and entered both

Beginner Novice Obedience and Rally Novice

all three days. 

I was so proud of her -

the first day we qualified in both classes

and both classes again the second day!

the third day she did not want to do 

her sit stay in the obedience ring 

and I thought that 

maybe I had asked too much of her

She was very young after all, only 1 1/2 yrs old 

and this was only her second experience at a trial

 But that afternoon in the Rally Novice ring 

she earned her best score of all three days 

and finished her Rally Novice Title!

What a weekend! What a girl!

Now I have to tell you

 of a sweet surprise I got from Google

Have you ever googled your name 

to see what might come up?

Well I googled "Greta Pug Munchskin"

And up popped a link

 to the

 Pug Dog Club of America's 

2013 Rally Ratings

OMD!

look who was listed #10! 

Greta went on to finish her

 Beginner Novice Obedience Title in June of this year 

and in August she earned two qualifying scores

 towards her Pre-Novice Title

It's Chewy Time!

Last week our Chewy box arrived 

with some new treats for us to try

This month we picked 

Grandma Lucy's Organic Oven Baked Treats Pumpkin

they are all natural - nothing artificial

Perfect for a fall treat

Open it up Mom! 

They smell like pumpkin cookies!

And they look like little teddy bears

Hey Hey! We both want that little bear! 

Grandma Lucy's Oven Baked Pumpkin Treats 

passed the pug taste test - we thought they were yummy

They are a little bigger than we expected but are easy to break in pieces and easy for us to crunch up

One concern is the amount of sugar

three of the ingredients are

Dehydrated Cane Juice, Organic Brown Sugar and Organic Cane Juice Syrup

But like any treat, we get them in moderation

Overall they were a big hit with us

Hi Friends - Angel Greta here!

Last year Mom & I had a special button giveaway for

 Breast Cancer Awareness Month

It was a great success and the plan
 was for us to do it again this year. 

 I let Mom know that I am still right here 
- in her heart - 

and we would still do this together

 You see -  my Mom is celebrating 3 yrs as a Breast Cancer Survivor.

 I came into Mom's life just a few months after she completed radiation treatments

 and I was an important part of her overall recovery. 

so once again we want to share with you the story of .....

How I Became Mom's "Pink" Dog

Mom has NEVER liked the color PINK

her favorite colors are green and purple

but...

 you may have noticed that I

wear a lot of PINK

 Two Three years ago something happened

 

After having her yearly check up

Mom was told she needed a biopsy

Two days before the start of

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Mom was told she had breast cancer

Then not only did she not like PINK

she HATED PINK

Trying to come to terms with the Big C diagnoses

and PINK was in her face everywhere she went.

Surgery was scheduled and followed soon after

 by 6 weeks of radiation treatments

It was then that Mom began to realize

just how lucky she was

 She does her wellness check ups every year

 so her cancer was caught early

 She has a family that loves her and needs her
and she will be here for them
for a long time to come

  Mom realized that during

 Breast Cancer Awareness Month

she can let people know that

early detection saves lives 

so she decided

 to embrace the color "PINK"

 and that

 is how I became Mom's "Pink" dog.

Dear Furiends!

 Please make sure your loved ones

educate themselves about the risks of breast cancer 
and the importance of mammograms if they are over 40,

earlier if there is a history of breast cancer in the family.

Early detection can make such a difference!

 

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

we are once again having a little giveaway!
