Staycation

Mom and Dad were on vacation last week

and it became a staycation

The original plan was to go camping for a couple of days

but temps in the high 90's put the halt to that

So what did they do?

They worked on projects around the yard

Our ramp off the deck needed some rework

The carpet was coming apart and the wood was soft

Dad replaced the wood

 Then he put new carpet on

I was happy to supervise

Testing! Testing!

Wahoo! Our ramp is good as new!

Next they tackled the deck railing

You can't tell in the picture 

but the lattice was cracking and breaking

Mom & Dad wanted to do something different 

so they took the railing apart

and replaced the lattice with composite wood slats

They match some of our fence and mom says it compliments the color of the house

We found it all kinda boring

Bailey is ready for them to go back to work

so he can get back to his regular nap schedule
