There's a New Blog in Blogville

Hello Friends!
We have something very important to tell you

If you haven't already heard we have joined paws with
Murphy & Stanley, Easy, Madi & Sasha and now
there is a new POTP Blog

Here is the announcement from

We wanted to let everybody know something has changed!  We decided that our POTP tab was just NOT working out.  The comments were just bunched together and there was no real way to know if there was an addition or update since you couldn't "follow" it.

So we, along with 4 other bloggers (Easy, Madi, Sasha & Idaho Pugs), have created a separate blog dedicated solely to POTP!!  How cool is that??

Now you all can go over to the new POTP blog and follow it so that whenever someone needs thoughts, prayers, comfort, or support we can all know right away!  Or as our furiends Frankie and Ernie say, we can quickly "circle our wagons"!!

Now we really do hope
that you will not ever need a post on the new POTP blog,
but we also know first hand how much it means to have the support of your friends when you are in need
So we encourage you follow the new
Blogville POTP blog
so you can know right away when a friend needs some POTP
(you can click the badge on our sidebar to go there)

If you do find yourself or a friend is in need
just fill out the POTP request form on the blog
or you can contact us at
pugranch2 AT msn DOT com

Mom's Special Gift from Dad

I promised you one more "special" post

and I want to show you my
Greta Memorial Bead
from

Greta and I shared a very strong bond
After losing her, I was desperate for some way
to feel like she was still with me
and I remembered reading about
 Sisu Beads Memorial Jewelry
several months ago at our friends
Pooches Smooches

Sisu Beads uses a very tiny amount of your loved ones ashes
and creates a beautiful piece of jewelry.

from their web site
Sisu Beads memorial jewelry as a tangible way to stay connected.  Every Sisu Bead is hand sculpted with love.   The cremation ashes are hand mixed with the glaze and fired into the bead

I showed this to my husband and he agreed
I needed a Greta Memorial bead

the ordering was easy -  I picked out the style of bead
and the color I wanted right there on the website.

Within a few days a package arrived with a gift box inside

Don't know why blogger insists to put these sideways
Inside was a collection kit and instructions.
The kit contained a small plastic envelope
 and a small spoon.
Only a very small amount of ash was needed
(about the size of a watermelon seed)
any unused ash would be returned.
Everything was sealed and put in the prepaid priority mail envelope that was provided
They also encourage sending along a picture and to tell them something about your loved one.

Off in the mail it went
and two days later we received a personal email
letting us know that our special package had arrived and they would take the very best care of our Greta

Four weeks later another gift package arrived
Along with a hand written note card

And inside the package was my very special

Greta Memorial Bead

pink of course

And not only that
but also a box of note cards
with Greta's picture on them

This was not the picture I had sent to them by the way
They had taken the time to visit our blog
and choose a picture from there!

I was so impressed with the personal and caring service
If you are ever thinking about something like this
I would highly recommend contacting
Gina & Julie

It was while I was waiting for my Sisu Bead to arrive

that a very dear friend
sent us the beautiful little Greta Star
Now I have two precious ways
to keep my girl close to my heart

love

December Chewy Review

We were very excited to see a
arrive for us last week

Inside the box was a bag of
Merrick Texas Toothpicks

Merrick Texas Toothpicks have one ingredient
Beef Tail
They are an all natural puffy textured treat
no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives
high in protein and low in fat

And of course Made right here in the USA

These crunchy treats are to help keep your
teeth and gums clean

Mom is always looking for something good for us
to chew to help our teeth
Bailey likes almost any dental chew
but I, Hazel can be very picky

So lets give it the smell test
smells good!

Now for the chew test

Bailey got chewing right away
after 15 minutes more than half was gone

And I got chewing too -sort of
Mom was encouraged that I was trying to chew on it
but I don't have very strong chompers
(in fact I am scheduled for a dental to take care of some problem teeth)
but I did keep working at it
and managed to soften it up some.
Just the fact that I kept trying meant that I really liked it!

Overall we both liked these
Mom wished they lasted a little longer for Bailey
We liked the crunchy texture and Mom liked
that they did not get slimey like rawhide chews

Thanks Chewy for letting us try
Merrick Texas Toothpicks

Disclaimer: We were not compensated for this review,
Chewy.com sent this bag of Merrick Texas Toothpicks to us in exchange for an honest review

Mom's Great Plan

Cards, Cards, Cards

Mom had a plan -
If she printed her own Christmas cards,
she could afford the stamps to send them all out

So she bought postcard paper - 4 cards to a sheet
and a box of envelopes

She spent Saturday morning getting the envelopes ready while we waited for Dad to come home so we could do our photo shoot for the cards.

I was so excited about my new Christmas dress

I just wanted to dance - not sit still for a picture!

And Bailey - well -

Just take my picture and give me a treat already!

But a few good pictures were gotten
(and thank goodness for photoshop!)

Mom got busy designing the cards
there was to be print on both sides

finally all was ready to start printing

One page

two pages

Then the printer started acting up
and would not pull the thicker paper through

No matter what Mom did it did not want to cooperate
after 2 hrs - 4 sheets printed on one side only

AAARRRGGGGGHHH!

What to do? - what to do?
Her great plan was falling apart.

Dad said give it rest and try again in the morning

So she did
and Sunday the printer decided to be nice

and a stack of cards are going in the mail today!
(Note to Mom - let someone else print the cards next year)

And this is where we tell you our card count

Pugs -  21
Peeps - 1

thank you everyone!
