Last week we got
butt two boxes from our friends at Chewy
The big box had a bag of food for us
a new crate pad for Me!
The other box came from the nice
Ms. Sydney with our fun stuff to review!
She not only sent us the new furminator dual brush
to try out but also some yummy treats
We chose Liver Recipe Low Fat Dog Treats
made by Fromm
These treats are perfect bite size for a pug
and Mom likes that they are lightly crunchy so they can
go in our treat container in the kitchen and she doesn't have to worry about them drying out
and they are great in a pocket - no staining.
Made in the USA
they have only four ingredients,
Wheat flour, fresh chicken liver, salt, garlic powder.
and one calorie per treat
We think they are pawsitively yummy!
Now some of you know that pugs
SHED A LOT!!
Mom was anxious to try the new furminator brush to see how it would work on our furs
The brush has two sides, bristles and "pins"
Mom liked the easy grip handle, but the cover was useless, it would not stay snapped together.
I found the bristle side of the brush kinda relaxing and it made my furs look shiny!
Then Mom tried the "pin" side on Bailey,
who is shedding horribly right now
Unfortunately the brush did not do much to get out the shedding hair. We have short coats and it did not grab the hairs like the regular furminator does.
Mom wasn't done testing though.
When our cousin Willow came over for our weekly playdate, Mom tried the brush on her.
She is a mini-schnauzer
The pin side worked very nicely getting through her longer furs on her sides, making her look very pretty
(sorry no pictures)
So after our in depth analysis,
While this is a very nice brush,
we think it is better suited to pups with longer furs than pugs. Like our friends Frankie & Ernie
Thank you Chewy and Ms Sydney
for letting us try out these products

We received that brush, too, and completely agree with your review. The soft side of the brush makes my fur very soft, but the cover was useless.ReplyDelete
Oh you sooooo lucky wiv your Chewy boxes, they look such funs butts they don't deliver to the UK!!!!ReplyDelete
Loves and licky kisses

There is a consensus growing about that cover... good reviewing - deserves a treat! hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Hmmm, interesting about that new Furminator brush. I just got a new de-shedding tool to try and it seems to be working well. Now those treats...they look delicious! I love Fromm's...and from the photo, it looks like you all do too.ReplyDelete
Pawesome review, I was so curious what pups with short fur would say about the brush. The treats are pawesome, they look like little clouds and I bet the taste is heavenly, right?ReplyDelete
WE agree with you 187% about the Furminator thingy... it is PAWFECT fur OUR furs type and length... butt not so grrrreat fur Other types... BUTT that is why we LOVE Chewy.com... Isn't it??? We can Try thingys and give our furends Fair and Honest evaluations... so they don't Waste their Green Papers on thingys that are not Right fur THEM... Our DAD fixed the Cover by putting Super Duper Glue on the edges... it stays together now.ReplyDelete
This is a Grand Review... Well thought out and honest.
We don't get chewy anymore because they left it on the porch and our box was stolen!!!! We miss those boxes. Our mom says pugs shed a lot but she barely notices because our Angel brother Norbert shed so much more He was a lab mixReplyDelete
I think bundling the brush and treats together was a smart idea. I hate being brushed and mom has to give me treats throughout the torturing process.ReplyDelete
Aroo to you,
Hope you got extra treats for tolerating being brushed!ReplyDelete
WOW!! That was super cool Enjoy those treats!ReplyDelete
BOL! That photo of the three of you with that "we're here for the treats" look is hilarious. Glad to hear you enjoyed them and got a nice brushing as well!ReplyDelete
We like the small size of those treatsReplyDelete
Lily & Edward
Oooo, those look yummy! Love the expression on Mabel's face.ReplyDelete
Dip and Elliot x
With such cute faces, how could anyone deny giving them a treat, when they look at you like that.ReplyDelete
We like those little size treats also....we got some good ones this month...let us know how you like that new food. We have the other kind of furminator and it works good on our short fur, and Maggie sheds ALOT!ReplyDelete
Maybe you can send the brush back and exchange it for more of those yummy treats....just an idea.ReplyDelete
Yes, you are right about that brush. The bristle side is not too useful for us other than a gentle massage, but the pin side does wonders on our thick coats. Mom just wishes it were a little bigger for us bigger dogs. We want to try to liver treats too - yummers!ReplyDelete
Woos - Ciara and Lightning
I's glad I just got treats and not groomin stuffs!ReplyDelete
OMD....those treats look delish!! Mama says she has been looking for some treats she can put in her pocket for our walkies...we will have her try these out!ReplyDelete

Murphy & Stanley
Massages do feel good though, but too bad the brush did not pick up much hair.. Those little treats looks wonderfully delicious!ReplyDelete
I am surprised to read that y'all shed a lot! I cannot imagine anybody shedding more than Bentley! BOL!ReplyDelete
