Hey Friends!
I want to tell you all about my trip to California.
There are a lot of pictures so you might want to potty first and maybe grab a snack!
It all started early last Friday morning
Dad dropped me and Mom at the Pocatello Airport
I was sooo excited to fly in an airplane!!!!
It was short flight to Salt Lake City, UT
where we boarded a bigger plane that would take us
to San Jose, California
We had a window seat
OMD!
Look at the view from 30000 ft!
Other family members arrived from Washington, Colorado and Mom's daughter was there too
Saturday we decided to visit
the
You can click on the link to read about the weird house that that Sarah Winchester built
Here we are ready for our tour of the mansion
Unfortunately we could not take pictures inside the house
this old piano was in the gift shop
And I got my fortune told by this creepy lady
There were some neat trees on the grounds
This huge palm tree
And I got to climb on this cool looking tree!
Goodbye Winchester House!
Back at the house Mom's sister fixed a delicious dinner
and for dessert .....Chocolate Souffle
When it came out of the oven
It Smelled like - Heaven!
Then came Sunday -
Mom's Dad loved trains - when he passed away in 1999
the family honored him by taking a ride on the
15 years later the family gathered again for another ride
to remember Mom's stepmother who passed away Mar 1st.
this nice guy was our cab attendant, Matt
He sang us a railroad song as we headed down the track in the caboose we had reserved just for us
Chug - Chug here we go!
The best view was from up in the cupola
Look how far I can see!
Toot-toot! Whoosh!
there goes the steam!
The recipe books were a big hit!
It was a beautiful day spent with family
then before we knew it
it was time to head home.
