It's Time for Mutton Bustin' with Mabelene!!!!


Howdy Pawdners!!!!

I am so excited to be hosting the Mutton Bustin' Event 
at the Blogville Rodeo

We have 20 contestants ready to Bust a Mutton

and ride for a chance at the Big Trophy


 I pawsonnely have rounded up 
a great bunch of sheep for them to TRY to ride!
They may look nice but look out!
You might draw a wild one!

First cowpoke is out of the chute!


OMD! His sheep came out sideways 
but Mini Frankie is holding on!

Next up - our Co-Mayorz


Murphy looks in total control of his sheep as he scans the crowd to see if Ruby is watching!



 Look Ma! No Paws!

   Stanley is holding the rope in his teeth!!!
Wonder if he is entered in the trick riding too??

Here comes a gutzy gal


Jessie - foster (hopefully furever) sissy of Casey
She doesn't even need a rope to hang on!

Abby the Lab looks pretty in pink
with her side riding style!


Hope she's got a tight grip on that rope!


Hold your noses folks!

Easy Rider just may have the worst draw of the day
Ludvig Stinky the terminator ram


Good thing Easy brought his gas mask  BOL!

Mini Ernie comes flying out of the chute


He has a great ride!


Now we have Sweet William the Scot
aka Sugar Billy

him being a city slicker and all 
 he was a tad confused
 If any of you are in need of a little touch up
 on those gray hairs
maybe you can visit him later

Sarge has drawn a real wild one!

Addi may have lost her hat

but she's not gonna lose her grip on that sheep!


Oreo sure has a determined look in his eye


He doesn't want Hazel to see him eatin' dirt!

Well Rodeo fans you may think that is The End!

But the judges have checked their scores

And with extra points for extreme cuteness

the Champion Mutton Buster

    Wow, I totally agree with Reilly and Denny that Arty and Oreo cracked me up! I can't believe they actually held on. BOL Wesley was amazing all backwards like that. Congrats to Ziggy and thanks bunches for hosting this fur us! OMD what a ton of fun!

    Wow Mabel...you found some really crazy sheep for us all to ride on - great job! It was VERY challenging to hold on to that - espically BACKWARDS...but it was LOTS of fun! Congrats to Ziggy...well won, buddy!

    Pawsome event! We are Shetland Sheepdogs -- we would have been trying to heard all those sheep into corner or something -- butt we did learn some valuable roping and round up skills by watching your event! Yee-Haw!
