Sunday Update

Wanted to give an update

Last night the fire was 0% contained
Firefighting was concentrated on saving homes

This afternoon it was reported 15% contained
The nearby town of Kamiah has lost
maybe 50 homes

My daughter sent this screen shot on her phone from the power company

They were lucky enough get a hold of a generator
(most were sold out already)
and now have water and lights.

Grandson was able to come home for a little rest and was thankful to be able to take a hot shower before getting back out to the fire.

Our prayers continue for everyone across the west that are affected and battling these fires

  1. We have been thinking about your family all day as we hear the devastating reports on the news. It is so sad to watch the fires just ripping through so much. All paws crossed and lots of prayers for your family and all affected by the fires.

  10. Come on rain! We thought the smoke we had was from those fires but the TV said it was the California fires. We hate fires. POTP headed north to everyone!

  14. Oh my gosh your grandson's safety will be in my thoughts every day until this is out. Also your daughter's home of course. I hope you continue to get good news on containment today. So terrible what is happening with the wildfires in the West.
