Winter's Last Gasp?

Sometimes

 I like to share my window view with some of my friends

The other day I was playing with flat cat

 and tube monkey asked 

if I would take him to look out the window. 

I said sure! 

Let's go see if spring is here yet!

Look Mabel! I see green grass! 

Does that mean spring is finally here????

Unfortunately we got up to snow this morning!!!

But we're still smiling!

We hope it is winter's last gasp!

Bailey & Dory Plan a Getaway!

Spring is finally here!

Mr. Bailey & Miss Dory decided to take some time together

 to plan a spring getaway

I stopped by the travel agency

 and got some brochures for us to look at

I would love to go just about anywhere with you Dory

 as long as there is no snow!

I think we both agree!

 A tropical vacation would be so much fun!

I can't wait!

 Just the two of us relaxing in the warm sun!

Ribbons on the Wall

Most of you know that Mom's hobby is doing 

Obedience and Rally Training with us pugs

Over the years there have been many ribbons won 

and she has them on display in the bedroom.

This wall remembers Mom's first two pugs

 to earn obedience titles

McKenzie earned her Companion Dog Title in 2000

And Char Shu earned the same title in 2002

Then there is the two cork boards for our ribbons

The upper left are Bailey's, the upper right are Hazel's

The lower left are Angel Greta's ribbons 

and mine are on the lower right

Several months ago Mom bought a shadow box to display Angel Greta's placement and title ribbons 

It was the first project she worked on when she retired

Mom was trying to figure out how to arrange them

but it really needed something to make it "Greta's"

So she went to the Hobby Lobby

 to find a proper background

Here is the finished project 

complete with pink background!

The View from My Window

 I showed you my favorite look out window

Now that mom is home all the time I can keep watch all day and enjoy the afternoon sun (when there is some)!

Yep! It is a great view!

It is hard to believe that only two weeks ago

we had all this snow

I was in my look out spot and saw we had a visitor

Can you see him??

Looking for something to eat in the snow

Now the snow is gone and it has been spring like weather!

I hope it stays around

We did not have to go far to find a pot of gold

Our Bed Ramp

Some of you were wondering

 just where Hazel & I were cuddling yesterday

this is the ramp that our Dad built about 5 yrs ago

 to help us all get on and off the big bed

He put safety railing and matching carpet

When Mom realized that Hazel

 was sometimes sleeping at the top of the ramp

 she put a dog bed there

 so Hazel would be more comfortable

Now when we go to bed at night, 

Hazel gets in her bed at the top of the ramp

Then later she usually moves to the big bed

 and sleeps by Mom's feet

#ChewyInfluencer 30 Day Challenge Wrap Up

Last month Miss Natalie at Chewy.com

 asked if we would like to do a 30 day challenge with

Rachael Ray Peak Natural Northern Woodlands Recipe

 with Turkey, Duck & Quail Dry Dog Food

A big bag of food showed up lickity split at the PugRanch

I have been happy to eat this food

Why are you making me wait for my breakfast Mom???

As you can see - I dive right in!

So here are our final thoughts on  

Rachael Ray Peak Natural Northern Woodlands Recipe

 with Turkey, Duck & Quail Dry Dog Food

Transition to this food went very well, no digestive problems at all.

Hazel started the challenge with me, but started butt scooting a lot so mom put her back on our normal kibble. 

She still occasionally scoots so it may or may not have been the kibble.

 It is grain free so not sure what might have been the cause. 

My furs have stayed shiny and soft

My poops have been consistently solid

As we mentioned in post #2 we were somewhat disappointed that the duck and quail were low on the ingredient list. 

This food is priced lower than what we would consider "premium" dog food so would be more affordable than what we have been buying. 

The big question

Would we consider getting more of this food??

 Although I have done real well eating this food

 the answer would be no.

It is easier for Mom if we all eat the same thing and 

it lacks one ingredient that Mom has found to be very beneficial, especially for Mr Bailey - Pumpkin.

He tends to have a sensitive tummy at times and finding a good kibble with pumpkin has been great for him.
