Bailey's Dogtor Appointment

Good Morning Friends

I thought I would let you know
how my dogtor appointment went yesterday

I do not appear to have pain in my hips and legs
It seems the big problem is
the arthritis in my back has pretty much fused my spine

Unfortunately there is not much more that can help me as I already take the recommended medications

Although I can't stand still for very long,
I can get around if I keep moving but my back feet drag
and it does not take much for me to lose my footing
(which is why we have rugs all through the kitchen)

It is becoming more difficult for me to lay down and more difficult for me to get up, sometimes I can't.
I need help doing - well you know - personal stuff -
 so I don't fall down

I am a proud old man and it is kind of embarrassing to have to have Mom and Dad help me so much.
I appreciate it but I sure am getting tired of struggling

So here is the deal

Mom & Dad will continue to help me
till I let them know I have had enough.

In the meantime
I got to have Ice Cream last night!!!!!

Love you all

Mr Bailey

  24. Crikey Mr. Bailey .... Your poor old back! When my Nan was REALLY old and couldn't do things for herself anymore she got to have LOTS of ice-cream. I think you should be able to have ice-cream EVERY day. It always makes me feel better.

I have some old man issues too, so I sort of know how you feel about needing help. Sometimes I get all wobbly and can't stand up. Or i fall down the stairs cause I forget and then I rush...oops.

Petcretary adds her love and we all send hugs and pawyers. And those loud meezer purrs !
Ice cream! Yup, good fur what ails you, BOL!

  32. We hate that you are having such problems and know you are getting the best care any pug could want. Most of us are older furries now and we can understand it isn't easy but we do want to stay with our humans, don't we!

  33. Hi Bailey! I'm sorry to hear your back is not feeling great and it's been harder to get along. I'm gonna send some good pug juju your way and keep my paws crossed you feel better. You're in good hands, buddy! Oh, just wanted to mention I had an issue with my back (and a rear leg) earlier in the year and I went to cool-laser therapy sessions. It seemed to help a bit so perhaps that might be something to look into. If you want more info, just let me know!
    -Love,
    Sid.
