Holiday Traditions at the PugRanch

Today we want to share with you 

some our favorite Holiday Traditions

The first decoration that gets set out is

our Pug Christmas Train!

Every Christmas Eve we have a big buffet

Most of the adult kids and grandkids come over 

They feast on things like crab legs

Smoked ribs

Christmas Ham

And homemade goodies!

Mom and Dad provide most of the meats 

and everybody brings food to share.

Sometimes they play games, one year they sang karaoke

It is a fun time with family

We hope all of our friends have

a Very Wonderful Holiday Season!

Weekend Snow!

Saturday it snowed most of the day

I spent the afternoon watching Dad plow snow 

from the comfort of my window perch

Sunday morning Hazel decided it was quicker 

to pee in the snow on the deck

Do you see me peeking from behind the house?

Just waiting for my turn!

Later in the day we ventured out to the yard 

where mom had shoveled for us

How long until spring??

Frosty Flower Friday

Can you believe it is almost Christmas

and the last Flower Friday of this year

We really wanted to join Miss Rosy 

but it is too cold here for flowers

So we thought we would share our frosty trees

The fog we have had all week has decorated the trees

to look like a winter wonderland!

We want to thank you friends

and prayers for our grandma

Wednesday with Words

 Sorry we have been kinda MIA lately

we have some family stuff going on. 

Our grandma (Dad's mom) is in very poor health and is getting hospice care at home. Dad is spending a lot of time there. In the midst of that Mom's older brother passed away last week in California. Mom won't be traveling for the service as she doesn't want to leave Dad. 

In addition Mom's new computer had a fit with the big Windows update, requiring not one but two total resets to get all things up and running  again.

We are trying to keep up with everybody 

and 

Hazel & I are really looking forward to the Holiday fun!

Frigid Friday

Winter is definitely here

The snow we got Sunday night has stuck around

The last two mornings it has been only 10 degrees!

Hazel & I don't stay outside very long

Yesterday the fog rolled in 

I couldn't see anything out my window 

much past our own yard

Monday Movie

A short Monday video for you today

Doing tricks for my Novice Trick Title

We had high winds yesterday afternoon 

which blew in a snow storm in the evening

All mom could think was 

Yay! 

No worries about driving to work on bad roads anymore!

Just the challenge of 

getting two little pugs to potty

in 3 inches of snow BOL!

Is There Snow at the Rainbow Bridge?

 Friday morning we got down to 16 degrees

Saturday morning we woke up to snow on the ground

Most of it was gone by later in the day 

but more snow is supposed to be on its way tomorrow

With the arrival of winter weather

 today we are thinking of our old man

 on what would have been his 15th birthday

Last winter was so very hard for him

especially when the temps were in the sub zero range

and we had record snowfall

We knew in our hearts it would be his last with us

Just the other day I was seeing who was where

Hazel was in her bed in the study, 

Mabel on her back of the couch "perch".

Then  - "now where's Bailey?" 

that brought tears

My dear Bailey Man,

If there is snow at the Rainbow Bridge

I know your once again young body

 will be oblivious to the cold as you run and play

and that warms my heart
