Hello Everyone
we wanted to check in and let you know
how Mom is doing after her eye surgery
Now don't tell Mom
but Hazel & I got on Dad's phone
and found some pictures
tee hee!
The purple marker
is so the doctor doesn't operate on the wrong eye!
Looking a little groggy in the recovery room
Surgery went well.
Mom has to stay face down for a week.
This is the special chair they rented to help.
It has a mirror so she can watch TV
Mom saw the doctor yesterday and he is very happy with how her eye is healing. Friday she can start having some time up about 1/2 and 1/2 throughout the day. The gas bubble blocks most of the vision in the eye but it will improve as the bubble dissolves. Hopefully in a few weeks she will be good as new.

We're glad to hear your mom is doing well with her recovery. That doesn't look like a very comfortable position to be in but if it helps with the healing then you have to do what you have to do.
ReplyDeleteOh no, how does she cuddle you while she's in that weird chair?!
ReplyDeleteOur hearts go out to your mom! We pray that her recovery will go well - and quickly! It's great that she has that chair, but oh, that does NOT look comfy!!!

We are so very thankful for your update. We have been wondering but didn't want to bother Mom. We are happy things are going well. That chair would have been so appreciated by our Dad, he had to lie on a massage sort of bed which was very uncomfortable for his back. Hope the rest of the recovery goes wll.
