so I was very excited when our friends at Chewy sent us 

WHIMZEES Brushzees Dental Dog Treats

When I had my annual check up yesterday,

We wanted to show you how excited I get 

when Mom let's me have a Whimzee 

but I wasn't sure why Dad was filming
(and I had just woke up from a nap)

Nature Friday and Mom Update

It's Friday!!!

First we want to thank everyone for the POTP and well wishes for Mom

The surgery was quick and went well

She had her post op appointment yesterday and all looked good. 

We make sure she does her eye drops 4 times a day. 

 It will take a few days for the cloudiness to clear as her eye heals.

The eye surgery Mom had last September caused cataracts in that eye so Mom is having cataract surgery today.

we got a lot of snow over night and it is still snowing!!

New Chapter of LIfe begins for Granddaughter

This morning our Air Force granddaughter and her husband 

embarked on their next big adventure

Headed to Germany, 

they will be stationed there for the next four years

We could not be more proud of this young couple

Their commitment to each other, 

desire to experience the world 

and service to our country is inspiring. 

While it will be hard to have them so far away,

we are excited for them

 and so thankful they can experience this together.

Nightime Gotta Pee Alarm

Mom says that Hazel was the easiest to potty train 

out of all the pugs that have lived at the PugRanch.

From the time she was a puppy she only had a couple of accidents in the house - until recently.

The one downside of Hazel taking Lasix is 

she pees more and when she has to go - she has to go!

And that includes 1 or 2 times during the night.

Most of the time either Mom or Dad will get up and let Hazel out when she gets off the bed. But Hazel woofs very softly and one night neither of them woke up. 

Poor Hazel couldn't wait and peed on the carpet. 

Mom and Dad knew that was embarrassing for Hazel so they put their heads together and came up with a solution.

Do you see the weird box 

mounted at the bottom of our bed ramp?

It is a sensor that detects movement. 

See the box behind Mom's alarm clock?

Now when Hazel goes down the ramp, 

the sensor sends a signal and an alarm goes off, 

alerting Mom & Dad that some puggy needs to go out

They found an alarm that had a "low" volume setting 
They hear it but it doesn't "jar" them awake. 

Hazel says she sure is lucky 

to have a Mom & Dad that love her so much
