As part of conditioning my fine tuned pug bod
we work on different things at class
to help strengthen our core.
One thing we do is practice balancing on a K-9 FitBone
One side has smooth bumps
I have no issues getting on that side
easy peasy
I do not like other side which has kind of spikey bumps
Teacher says it is good for our toes
so she let us take one home to work on
After dancing around it for a bit
I finally offered mom a quick step over
Mom said "no deal - I want more"
Ok - how about I just barely touch one foot?
Mom said "you can do better than that!"
Standing on one foot-
my final offer!
phhhhhht!
How will we break this impasse!
Mom wants all 4 feet on the spikey side
I don't want any feet on the spikey side
Will we be able to come to a deal
that makes everybody happy??

ReplyDeleteKeep working on it Mabel, I am certain median ground will be found!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx (pee ess... I couldn't help thinking of the Princess and the Pea whilst reading this...)
Oh my funny huggy puggy Mabel You crack me up. OMDs this is kinda familiar maybe I need to come to I da Ho to work on my core strength and balance. I've been working on balance. By standing with on leg against the couch and trying to slowing raise the arch of my foot up that leg to the knee. Seems I'm un balanced....lol but that is not a secret. Do you think that bone with bumpy thingies on it would help me..??
ReplyDeleteSincerely with huggies to you
Cecilia
Mabel, that spiky side looks perfectly horrid to stand on. I'd say you are well within your rights to refuse. That's what a terrier would do.
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
can you wear boots for da spiky side ? or I can send you da Nelly, he is a wrecking ball and can chew that spikes down ;O)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure that I would like that spiky side either, Mabel. Maybe your mom needs to offer you a piece of juicy steak?!
ReplyDeleteHold out for some fantastic treats! Chicken, cheese or something. We wouldn't like that spiked side, of course, we wouldn't get on the other side either....
ReplyDeleteMabel, that spiked side doesn't look too much fun for us either. But you are doing a wonderful job so far. We hope mom is giving you the most delicious treats after all the hard work you have been doing. Thanks for the share. Have a wonderful day.

I say wait for some really good treats.
ReplyDeleteI dont think I'd like to stand on that thing. I know my esteemed late associate, Joey dog, would never ever step on it. He was kind of overly protective about his feet. Hope you got some good yum yum treats for that.
ReplyDeleteOuchy....Whatever you do, don't SIT on the spikey side! :)
ReplyDeleteThat looks like fun. We bet if your Mom finds just the right high value treat, you will do a happy Mabel dance on both sides with all four paws!!!
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
We agree with you that the spikey side is no fun. Keep up the resistance Mabel.
ReplyDeleteI think it is one of those strange human things. The more you do it the less they will ask you to do it.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work Mabel. Maybe you can just put all four paws on just for a few minutes to make your mom happy. I bet it does feel strange!
ReplyDeleteBless your heart. I know Mom wouldn't ask you to do it if it wasn't important for your sport. We know you can do it!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun toy! Fun and core building...seems like a great tool.
ReplyDeleteThe suspense is crazy!!!! Who will win?!?! My money is on you.
ReplyDeleteYours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
We have that very same bone! Isn't it funny how tough those spikes are? You can do it, you can do it, you can do it! I think that the only solution is for you to put four on the spikes. Sorry ;)
ReplyDeleteOh Mabel you did awesome. I hope that you got treats for that.
ReplyDeleteWags
Oreo
I bet you have done it now Mabel!
