Mom and I were at an agility trial this weekend.
On Friday the weather was not too bad
started out chilly then the sun came out.
The judges courses were difficult, even the Novice courses.
My first run was so close, but I missed one obstacle.
Our second run of the day, we made it through the course but for some reason we did not qualify.
We have watched the video and our instructor has too
and we are not sure why, oh well
This is what the weather looked like on Saturday
Cold and rain off and on all day.
I was a little crazy on my run and got two wrong courses
BOL!
Sunday we woke up to freezing temperatures and a rain/snow mix. Mom decided to let me stay home and she went by herself to help with bar setting and such.
Although we did not earn any "Q's",
Mom was pretty much pleased with how we did.
I am beginning to drive ahead of her and my tunnel entries were really good and I hit all my contacts on the A frame, Teeter and Dog Walk.
We have a TDAA trial coming up in a few weeks
I sure hope the weather is better!

You are our one true champion
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a fun time even if you didn't get any q's. Too bad you can't appeal that one run.
ReplyDeleteThose clouds do look threatening. Difficult to work out where you went wrong. Usually, you know when something wasn't done correctly. Oh well, that's behind you, on to the next one!
ReplyDeleteIt's awful your courses are outside. You look upset, Mabel, with not qualifying. We are sure you did it all right. Those contacts on the A Frame can be hard to hit. Maybe your Mommy forgot to pay the judges, BOL. XOX Xena
ReplyDeleteMabel, I'm sure your second run was perfect and one of your rivals must have bribed the judge.
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
we are asure teh next trial brings you the most beautiful ribbon! you are right the weather is a good poitn (or a bad one) we had a rain training yesterday and there was nothing like it should be... the mama was shocked...well and wet LOL

ReplyDeleteI understand your disappointment, Mabel... but experience tells me that sometimes it is the fails from which we learn most and that the wins will come soon enough! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Bummer about not qualifying. Next time will be better, Mabel!
ReplyDeleteOn the bright side here (even tho there was no sunny bright side that day) ... you didn't wind up with muddy paws!
ReplyDeleteWTG my littly huggy puggy. Those are some rain filled clouds.

Brr, I think it's just as well your momma let you stay home! Those silly judges, you should've Q'd!
ReplyDeleteBetter luck next time! I'm sure you did your best.
ReplyDeleteWhat a professional you are Mabel! We sure hope next time the weather is better too(Arty says he can come keep you warm if it's too chilly ;-))

It sounds like it was fun in spite of the fact there were no Qs. Have a good few weeks!
