Scoop Less Poop

Today we are participating in the monthly blog hop

The Scoop That Poop Campaign was created by Sugar the Golden Retriever to bring awareness to the importance of scooping dog poop.  This monthly blog hop is hosted  at Sugar the Golden RetrieverOz the TerrierMy GBGV LifePawsitively PetsThe World According to Garth Riley and The Lazy Pitbull.

There is no theme this month
 we can post about
anything related to scooping poop

so we thought we would tell you how
what you eat
can affect how much you poop

And how much you poop affects
how much your peeps have to scoop!

There you go Mom

you wanted a sample to show people

I eat twice a day and I poop twice a day

When I came to the PugRanch,
Mom picked out a "premium" puppy/dog food for me.

As you all know if your dog eats quality food
they should have smaller and firmer poops

I did well on this food and my poops
were "good" and we were all happy

until I developed allergies

Three months ago Mom changed my food to
a very limited ingredient diet

Natures Variety Instinct
one protein - duck
one carb - tapioca
one vegetable - peas
vitamins and omega's

It has really helped my itchies

AND

 as you can see here

My poops are no longer "good"
They are GREAT!

Small and compact, almost like pellets
and the best part for Mom & Dad
very easy to scoop!!!

as opposed to our neighbor dog
(the one who's peeps never scoop)
He is a medium size dog
but his poops are HUGE and not compact
Mom was going to take a picture for comparison
but she thought that might be weird to be seen taking a picture
of the neighbor dogs poop

  2. BOL..BOL..BOL! Yuppy Puppy, I can just picture your Mommy taking pictures of your neighbor's poop. I means da neighbor dog's poop? BUTT me has a pwoblem at my house. Da neighbors always ride their horses past our house, and we gets horse plops right in front of our driveway. We need a shovel to scoop! :( The neighbors never do! Guess they'd have to carry yard-size trash bags on their daily ride!

  3. Great post! It's so true that what and how much dogs eat TOTALLY impacts their waste output! Thanks for the great example! :)

  5. Great looking poo. Scooping the yard is my job. With 3 greyhounds and Parker, plus various greyhound guests, the yard always seems to be a minefield. Stanley's poo is so good, it actually bounces :)

  19. Oh my goodness...TMI, Greta, TMI! Bahaha!

Glad to hear your, um, poops, are looking good. My Dad said mine are so good sometimes that they bounce when they hit the ground. I think he's just happy when they are easier to pick up in the bag (Since he's my butler, he's the one that has to clean up after me).

    Sid.
