Mom says I have become a woman now
WHAT???
I am barely one year old (this Saturday)
I am just a pup
If becoming a woman means having to wear
these stoopid diaper pants,
I will stay a puppy thank you very much!
Note from Mom: Originally Mabel was scheduled to have her "girl" surgery at the end of June. We postponed it to concentrate on taking care of the Demodex. Surgery was rescheduled for Wednesday next week. Looks like we will be rescheduling again - Dang It!

Oh Mabel, I don't know if I would want to wear those pants either if I were you. Hopefully you can be a woman and not have to wear the pants in the family soon!

UhOh, Mabel. Start looking for a good hidey hole because I see a trip to the vet in your future! :)
ReplyDeleteWe think women are suppose to wear underwear. At least it's not a thong

Hope your surgery goes well and you don't need diapers any more.
ReplyDeleteOopsie! Sometimes timing doesn't work out right. Just think of it this way -- it's the LAST time you'll have to go through this!

ReplyDeleteSo they tell me.
Toodle pip!

The important thing is that you eventually do get the surgery done. I still remember picking Shiver up from the vet after his surgery. The vet said that Shiver was still woozy and to make sure he took it easy the rest of the day. As soon as we stepped in the front door, Shiver was back to his wild and crazy puppy self. Those drugs didn't calm him down in the least! bol
ReplyDeleteOh Mabel, don't worry too much about those diaper pants...sounds like you won't have to wear them much longer!
ReplyDeleteHappy Veteran's Day Smileys!
Dory, who decided it was best NOT to let Arty read this ;-)
Oh dear, Mabel. You are growing up way too fast! Thank your daughter for volunteering to serve in the Air Force. We have Barksdale Air Force Base in our sister city. It is a wonderful base and they hold an Open House each spring. It's the home of the B-52s.
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh, the best laid plans do go awry.
ReplyDeleteHari om
ReplyDeleteYou are only as old as you feel Mabel!!! the 'inconvenience' won't last long, then life can get back to puppyness!!! hugs and wags YAM-aunty xxx
The same thing happened to Ciara. She was scheduled for her surgery but went in to a very early heat at only five months. Not a lot of fun, but you will make it through, Mabel. Our sympathies to your Mom for the added work.

Dear Mabel,
ReplyDeleteSometimes these things just happen. I too went through the diaper thing. It was no fun.
Good luck and an early HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Love Noodles
Sorry Mabel, pretty soon you won't have to worry about that stuff no more!

Oh I am sorry but I am laughing about a memory your brought back to me. I had a friend who when she was explaining to her young daughter about becoming a women her daughter declared quite loudly "I am opting out of that crap" and stomped off. My friend said she just shook her head and said she will find out. Low and behold her adult daughter now takes a pill that stops that crap except for one cycle a year. Times they do change. Mabel hope you don't have the cramps.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a friend

Happy Veterans Day
Well, lots of people are starting to think that letting a dog go through one heat before spaying is a great idea. We did it with Shyla but we were lucky because she had a "silent" heat... no bleeding. I hope that you can keep the boys away, Mabel, and then get that surgery so you don't have to go through this again!
ReplyDeleteOMC that is noooooo fun :( Remembering our Veterans today.
ReplyDeleteOh, those undies don't look funs at all!!! BOL..sorry, didn't means to laugh, butts they are cuter than Ma's undies, so there is that! ☺ I hopes you have a most FABulous Burthday! Don't worry, i'll be wishin' you again, just had to say it early....♥
ReplyDeleteKisses,
