It sure has been hot here lately
We haven't been doing much but trying to keep cool
But we did discover something cute in our tree
Baby Birds!!
Do you see them with there mouths wide open??
The parents were bringing worms to feed them!
A few days later one of them was hanging out on our lawn
Mom and Dad would not let us out so we would not bother it
The mom & dad watched from the power line up above
We think they were trying to encourage it to fly!
The next day
I did have a face to face encounter with the baby bird
I will share that with you in another post

Awwww - the baby birdies are so cute! They learn how to fly pretty fast!
ReplyDeleteUp close and personal with a baby bird! Can't wait.
ReplyDeleteIt is fun to watch the baby birds grow and develop as long as the parents are smart enough to make their nest in a safe spot. We are still trying to figure out what the little bird in our flower planter is trying to do with that nest she made.

Wow! We saw lots of baby robins this spring. I haven't caught one yet, though.
ReplyDeleteCrikey .... just as well those baby birds didn't get born in my yard. They wouldn't stand a chance. I'd have had that little bloke before Mum could've screamed blue murder at me.
ReplyDeleteOh my...you got to meet a bird?? Up close and personal??? What a lucky girl!!!

Those baby robins are so cute!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! We have two baby squirrels in the yard. They were lunging and jumping on one another and then Mom noticed they were both really small and weren't biting or fighting they were just playing. An older squirrel was nearby that they didn't try and play with, but she was watching them. We bet it was their Mom. It's been fun watching them try and learn how to climb the trees and such, and we laughed our butts off when the yard rabbit STOLE a tasty leaf from one of them and they just stood there going "what the. . ."?
