The other day I was on my favorite perch
looking out the window
and what did I spy!!
A cat!!
I barked at mom to grab the camera
but the cat went down the rock waterfall and out of sight
We waited a minute and back up it came!
It looked to make sure the road was clear
Then headed over towards the fence and the driveway
He stopped for a scratch
before jumping the fence and going on his way
Mom was really happy to see the cat.
You see a couple of years ago she would often see this cat passing through our back yard. It is such a pretty cat and she always wondered where it belonged. Then she did not see it for a long time and was afraid that something had happened to it. So Mom was happy to see him again.
While we were looking out the window,
Mom decided to use the zoom and
take a picture of the snow on the mountains
We do have some pretty nice views!

You're sure nice to let that kitty share your yard!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, not sure where I stand on the cats in the yard issue...
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
We had the same thing happen in our back yard a few weeks ago. Our mom wasn't quick enough to get it on camera. Millie kept barking and we couldn't figure out what her problem was but then the cat came out from the shrubbery. We dogs never lie (much) and think our pawrents should appreciate our watch dog work. That cat was heading toward our bird feeder so our dad went out and scared him away.
ReplyDeleteGuess what? A kitty came into my yard this morning only mom wasn't quick enough for the camera. I've never met a kitty before!
ReplyDeleteThe snow covered mountains are just beautiful!
That is a gorgeous cat - bet it made your Mom happy to know he/she is OK. And what a gorgeous view from your home!!! We don't have any of that here in eastern Kansas:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
It is a pretty cat...but we'd still bark at it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful kit-cat! I like to stare at kit-cats, but I don't bark at them. I'm sort of infatuated, you know? We're glad this one showed back up at your place!
ReplyDeleteOoooooh, SNOW!!!! What a beautiful view of the mountains you have!
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
Did you bark at it? We bark at all cats!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
We've been known to bark at the visiting cats.
ReplyDeleteThere's a big calico cat that I sometimes see sneaking around the greenbelt looking for birdies. I think he lives in the house two doors down, but I'm not certain. If I'm outside, I bark at him.
ReplyDeleteThose are some beautiful mountains you get to look at every day!
you DO have a gorgeous view and that cat is darling. I sure hope it has a home. DakotasDen
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful to have the cat back in your yard so your mom knows that she is OK. Now she needs to keep out of your yard.
ReplyDeleteWe would bark our heads off
