Here we are
joining the ever cute and darling
Miss Rosy Sassypants
for the Flower Friday blog hop!
Unfortunately even though it is April,
spring is taking its time this year
and since we have no flowers to show you
we will show you some the critters
that visit us here at the PugRanch
Mr Robin wondering why we have snow
in the middle of March
He does look fat and healthy though
OMD!
Dad discovered a rock chuck
peeking out from a pipe
that is behind our metal shed
Here he is on another day
making sure the coast is clear
Before venturing out and going to the neighbors yard!
This is our resident pheasant searching for some food
during one of our March snow storms
The last few years he has spent the winter
hanging out in the willow bushes
that grow along the canal that runs through
the lower part of the PugRanch
He is quite the colorful
and handsome fellow!
Can you see our kitty friend??
He is in the Big Yard hunting for mice
The mice really tore up our lawn this winter
so we are happy for his help
in getting rid of those pesky mouses
We also get a pair of doves
that come back every spring
I was very friendly and told this one
Welcome Back!
We are having a few days of rain now
Hopefully that will get the grass green
and spring springing up!!
We are the PugRanch Kids

Poor Mr Robin. I hope he doesn't have to wait for spring too much longer! The woodchucks are out of hibernation here too and mom is NOT happy about it.
ReplyDeleteNo sign of spring our way either. We have some robins and a few doves, too, but still no green or flowers!
ReplyDeleteWe are snow covered in our neck of the woods with no flowers anywhere in sight.
ReplyDeleteUh-oh...maybe don't show your pheasant friend our Momma's new HAT for her Renny-sauce faire. Pheasant feathers...everywhere!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful variety of critters you have there on your Idaho pug ranch. I enjoyed seeing them.
ReplyDeleteThat robin sure is a fat one:) Maybe HE is a SHE with a tummy full of eggs:) Lots of interesting critters there. We never heard of a rock chuck. And you say the mice tore up your grass??? Hmmm, maybe we should try convincing Mom that the mice did it here too:)

A rock chuck is a new critter to us and it is really cute! Does it tear up your yard? We'd welcome all of those creatures in the yard but only to chase them back out! BOL! BOL!
ReplyDeleteWow! Those are some interesting furry and feathered friends in your neighborhood! That pheasant is really cool - I've never seen one before. Hope you all get some spring weather (and spring flowers) soon!
ReplyDelete-Love,

I love your critters! Rock chucks are fun - are they the same as marmots? And, I didn't know that mice could tear up a lawn. Wowzers. They are pests!
