A Short Break

Dear Friends

We may be silent for the next few days
Our Grandma, Dad's Mom, passed away yesterday
It was not unexpected
Grandma had been on a slow decline since falling about a year ago.
She had suffered from chronic pain for several years and then dementia 
The last few months had been especially difficult. 


We are thankful that we live very close and Dad was able to be a great help to Grandpa so that Grandma could stay at home. She was surrounded by loved ones when she passed. 
A hard day for us but we are thankful that she has been released from her pain. 

We are also thankful for all of our friends in Blogville

We will be back next week

    I am so sorry for your loss. Even though your dad's mom's death was not unexpected,. the finality of it all takes something out of you - I lost both of my parents that way. But knowing that all the pain and discomfort is now gone, helps to bring a sense of calm and peace. Sending prayers and hugs to all of you.
