A New Class!

Mom & I started a new class on Monday mornings

Canine Good Citizen Advanced

It is not a typical class.
Each week we go somewhere new
and the teacher evaluates how we react and behave.

The first week we went for a walk in
"old town" Pocatello and saw a lot of new things

We posed for pictures on some church steps

We saw other people, and there were odd or loud noises.

Practiced sit stays in front of a restaurant

This grassy area was a good place for down stays

Last week we visited a local pet store
that has a petting zoo

There were goats and pigs and llamas and chickens
I think the baby goat wanted to meet me!

Inside the pet store was this big tortoise!
I tried to say hello but he pulled his head in -
how did he do that?

We then went across the street to a nice walk path

Here we sat in a circle while our peeps kept moving around the circle changing dogs

So far we are all doing really well.
Today we are going to visit Sportsman's Warehouse.

We are the PugRanch Kids
Mabel & Hilda

  3. We think you could have gone for a ride on that tortoise. You all look like you are having fun with all these challenges.

  4. I love the idea of such classes a lot... often we walk on a meadow or a fenced training area and it is not easy to use the things we learn there in normal situations like train stations, stores, parks museums restaurants and so on... we wish you two tons of fun and lots of success...

  5. That looks like the most fun class ever. Can I join?
    Toodle pip!

  6. Wow! I would certainly flunk that class! Dad liked seeing that big Irish setter doggie in your group. He had a big brother who was a setter just like that one.

  7. Wow, that's exciting! Momma says she and Angel Casey did CGC training (and Casey became certified), but they didn't travel around to different places like that.

  8. Wow - you are a hero in my eyes, Mabel. I couldn't do well in any of those exercises! and you just ignored the goat?!

  9. Mabel my huggy puggy you and your classmates are A++++ students.
Such fun and I bet you all draw a crowd no matter where you are.
    Hugs Cecilia

  10. You are all looking beautiful, doing what the peeps want. We would have been too excited to stay in one position for very long. We are impressed.

  11. What a fin class Mabel...Sounds like you and your Mama are having a blast

  13. You are so going to ace this latest class, Miss M. Looks like it was a fun outing.

  14. Lulu: "A class where you go new places and meet new people and animals? That sounds great! Charlee doesn't that sound great?"
    Charlee: "Sounds terrifying."
Lulu: "Do you get belly rubs when you meet the new people? Chaplin, don't belly rubs sound great?"
    Chaplin: "From strangers??? No."
Lulu: "Don't mind them, Mabel. They're cats. You and I both know they're missing out!"

  15. Your always learning something new Mabel!
