I want to thank everyone for the kind comments left on yesterdays post for Olive. It was a tough day for me, and your caring thoughts helped ease the pain. She really was a special little girl.
It was my son and daughter that convinced me to get another puppy.
I really did not expect to get one as soon as we did but I had let the breeder know
if another "perfect match" came along I might be interested.
She happened to have another litter and she picked Greta out for us.
I have to admit that Greta has been a real challenge,
Where Olive had been sweet and smart,
Greta is naughty and smart.
At times I wasn't sure if we had done the right thing,
could I handle this ball of naughty energy.
But her naughtiness comes from being soo smart (and being a puppy of course),
she needs something to keep her little brain working
or she will find something on her own.
Greta loves to learn,
loves us,
loves family,
loves Bailey & Hazel,
she has such a zest for everything!
Greta takes everything she does to the next level
climbing in head first, no halfway for her.
But what Greta has done most is
helped pull me out of the despair I felt after Olives accident.
How I love my naughty Greta!
I wouldn't change her for the world.
Thank you for letting me share my special girls,
and all of my pug kids.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! This is so nice. Every pet leaves a special mark in our souls and it is nice to remember them in some way. Greta does not replace Olive, just fills a physical gap. But her spunkiness and puppiness will add to the love Olive opened up in you.

I'm sorry that I'm late seeing these posts. I wish I had known that you were grieving too. It is so hard, but I'm so glad that Greta helps you move through it. Thank you for sharing Olive's story with us. So young but her mark was great. Sending you lots of love and hugs and prayers as your remember her during the holidays.

Ahhhh, the gift of a pupper, maybe that's why God put us on the earth, to love our peeps, poop in their beds, tear up their stuff, and be under foot as much as possible, but be cute!
