Our Boy is Home

Bailey returned home to us last week

His ashes already laid to rest in a beautiful cedar wood box

They even included a gold plate engraved with his name

On Sunday we put his collar
and a few dried flowers with him

The gold name plate went on top

and he took his place on one of the special shelves
with his old buddy Char Shu

The gift from the granddaughter looks pawfect
hanging in the middle

Things had over grown so much
Mom did just a little clean up
before placing Bailey's rock in the memorial garden

  15. Ahh Bailey has a wooden box like my last Scot Half Pence ~ how things happen seems like they kick you in the heart. I picked up my Half Pence's ashes on what would have been his birthday. Bailey is at home now and from his place on the shelf I am sure he is looking over all of you.
    Thanks for being a friend

  23. Always such a bittersweet day when they come home. Our vet did that for us too - put Abby's name on her box on a brass plate. So nice. And they also included a plaster cast of her pawprint which was really sweet. Glad you have your boy back home.
